There is the time a clock measures, and there is the distance between who you are and who you intend to become. One is a fact. The other is built by thought — and every hour spent crossing it is an hour spent building it higher.

Who are you when you remove your name, role, history and possessions? Not a riddle — an experiment you can run on yourself this afternoon.

Silence cannot be forced. It flowers when the mind is understood — which is why most meditation practice quietly becomes another form of noise.
